hi, lester young isgreat and I was looking to the links to get these music where are they? i must have missed, sorry, that's why i would like to ask for your help thanks a million jm
This is absolutely magnificent stuff. I gave a copy of these recordings to my 89 year old dad, who had seen and met Lester back in the late'40s, and listening to it literally brought tears to his eyes. I can't thank you enough for posting this incredible, historic, music, and for keeping it alive.
might be able to find the Piano Workshop one, not the others though (no time for the digging effort, life moved on, and several hundred people here and over on dime grabbed these, they should share them, too! that's part of why music blogging stopped being fun, it's like you're alone in the desert most of the time)
I had asked for several CTI reposts before I noticed your "Please don't ask for re-uploads of links that are gone" comment. Had I read that first, I would not have asked for the re-ups. I sincerely apologize for asking. You were clear - I simply missed it.
I usually just post any comments (moderation proved necessary when the blog was more active and I've kept it like that), though I have hardly any time any more to dig into my drives to look for recordings.
If by chance I happen to stumble over something that has been requested for re-upping, I will do so. (I have to finally fix that botched Bobby Hutcherson track for one!)
thank you for the vastness of this gift. as so many have said this is awesome!
