I posted this one two years ago... so here it is again, right in time for x-mas. Must be the most idiosyncratic versions ever done of Christmas Carols - gotta love it!
Her carols have also been released officially on ECM - the review by John Fordham in the Guardian is still out there - and I've gotten the CD in the meantime and enjoy it a lot!

SHould be interesting to see what Ms. Bley does with the traditional material. Thanks much!

Thanks. This does look like fun. I'll do Christmas month (or two...).
June 2013, and here I am thinking about Xmas; many thanks, ubu...
ubu,
Can you repost this for the upcoming christmas season?
Thanks for all you do.
This is one I was trying to keep alive - so there you go:

I might bring it back up on top in a few weeks, it's a bit too early for x-mas sounds around this house.
Great concert & uplifting music: make you smile, whistle & sing with eyes closed! Even better than the official release. Just miss some snow flakes to go back to my child's christmases…
Only Carla was able of being so heartbreaking & funny at the same time.
Thanks for that royal gift, your Highness!
PS I know, I know: never ask for a reup but I was away for a long time & saw you posted a gorgeous archive from dear late Andrew Hill in Lugano 2004. I could catch the 2 last parts of the file but the first is gone. So have listened only to the 2nd part of that amazing concert & I'm happy with that. But, if someday you could reup AndrewHill_20040313_Lugano_ubu.part1.rar, you'll make somebody happier.
Keep on leaving us some good messages from now then & "surtout, ne travaillez jamais".
Peace.
