Next show of Hubbard's - this one is great, similar to his CTI albums (I have "Red Clay" and "Straight Life" only - both are great). I always like to hear Junior Cook, and George Cables is a great musician, too. But of course this is mainly Freddie's show!

BIG thanks for this in advance ubu, what a find :)
Several more to follow, Simon, keep checking!
Thanks Ubu. Anxious to hear this version of First Light.... my fave Hubbard track. (and thanks Simon for pointing me here)
... listened now, lovely stuff and thanks again. Will check some of the others now ...
wow. I love Cables' sound on Joe Henderson's Lighthouse album (similar vintage, I believe), so I'm looking forward to hearing this. Thank you for all this Hubbard!
Fantastic! Thank you very much.
Sorry to report but rapidshare seems to be having problems with part 1 of this file...Not sure why..Any ideas?..Shame cos 'First Light'is killer-Freddie!! Many thanks for all your postings here.
No problems here, I just started downloading it with no problem - just try again please!
Thanks ubu..Yea problem persists at this end..Strange given that part 2 of the file and everything else you've posted here dosen't seem to present any problems..Says something bout file being too large and taking too long to download!?!..Ah well maybe its time to purchase a premier account!
That is weird, sasha!
I have a premier accout, of course, but still... my guess is give it a few tries and eventually it should work. It's not a larger file than others I've posted before, and it's of course below the limit of 200MB, that limit is for premium users as well!
Good things come to those who wait! Thanks for the advice ubu..Yup rapidshare has finally and kindly allowed me access to part1..Phew...Can't wait to hear this gem! Many thanks for this wonderful collection of Hubbard gigs.
Glad to hear it finally worked out, sasha! I had some such experiences with RS before I got a premium account, too. Can be rather annoying...
WBCN broadcast - strange. That was a progressive rick station back in the early 1970s. Thanks for unearthing this unusual item.
Well, I don't know anything about American radio stations, just passing on the info I got with this show, hoping for it to be correct...
I've got a hitch, a bit like Sasha's, 'cept I can't download pt 2 (at present), I'm getting an an 'error' message... I'll try again later, but I've already tried with a half hour gap between attempts... no luck yet!
FG
Part 2 has disappeared from my account. Will tend to it tomorrow, have to search for the right external HD first... don't know why it was deleted, and of course you don't get any notification from RS or any some such... sorry for the inconvenience!

Ubu master! I appreciate the work done with this bootlegs...Thank you so much. I've been listenning to Hubbard a lot these days. Specially the CTI period which is matched in time with a couple of your posts. I love Red Clay and Keep your Soul Together, the latter I recommend you a lot, if you didn't try, you can get here: http://myjazzworld.blogspot.com/2007/07/freddie-hubbard-keep-your-soul-together.html
