Domancich-Avenel-Goubert - Paris 2008

Before getting to work on the shows from my dime birthday party, there are a few things I uploaded to RS a while back but never came around sharing so far.

First of these is a show by the fine D.A.G. trio:
D is Sophia Domancich, who played with Bernard Lubat, Steve Lacy, Jean-Louis Chautemps, musicians Canterbury scene like Elton Dean, Hugh Hopper, and Pip Pyle, while also leading her own trio, featuring among others Paul Rogers and Tony Levin, and later Claude Tchamitchian and Simon Goubert. Domancich also held the piano chair in the Orchestre National de Jazz under Didier Levallet.
A is Jean-Jacques Avenel, the great bass player who spent many years with Steve Lacy's bands (from 1981 up to the end).
G is Simon Goubert, who has worked with far too many musicians to list them here, let's just mention Mal Waldron, René Urtreger, Joachim Kühn, Siegfried Kessler, Lee Konitz, Steve Grossman, James Carter, John Hicks, Martial Solal, and Christian Vander's "Magma".
Both Domancich and Goubert are part of the group "Soft Bounds", with Hugh Hopper and Simon Picard.
Goubert and Domancich regularly appear as a duo, for this radio session as well as a CD (2006) they added Jean-Jacques Avenel to the mix.

This show is from 2008, there's also a 2CD "Jazz Club" from 2006 as well as a "Jazz Club" by Soft Bounds (from 2004), in case there's demand - but both of them I didn't edit, I think, so it would be some work...
