Many many thanks. Phil sure is one of the great "unknown" giants! dont know him personally but judging from interviews he is a really humble and intelligent guy too..

glad to see that this recording is still alive and being passed around. i made it at the glorious HotHouse in Chicago which isn't around any longer. since then we've also lost fred anderson AND his velvet lounge. chicago's musical landscape just isn't the same.

just a note about mr. cohran... he still plays on the far north side of the city every friday night at the Ethiopian Diamond restaurant. its definitely worth checking out and he often has many of his own recordings (things that aren't available anywhere else) for sale. he is far, far from humble but a musical giant, no doubt.
